WELCOME TO GREENSTED
INFANT SCHOOL & NURSERY
At Greensted Infant School and Nursery we want to ensure that all pupils feel safe and happy in the learning environment. Respect for the individual and the learning environment are at the heart of our school. Success is achieved when every individual feels valued and included in the school community. Our approach is inclusive and applies to all pupils.
"Very pleased with my son's progress at the School. He enjoys coming to class and
loves school! Thank you" Yr 1 parent
We recognise that every child is unique and has his or her own educational, emotional and social needs. The school works to meet those needs and develop the child’s full potential.
We encourage pupils to develop and express their own opinions. They have input into making school/class/playground rules and negotiate rewards and sanctions. They vote for pupils to represent them on the School Council.
"A has really grown in confidence in Year 2 and made some great personal achievements" Yr 2 parent
We are proud that as a school we have worked towards and achieved many nationally recognised awards. Amongst these are the Healthy Schools Award, ActiveMark and the Early Years and Primary Basic Skills Award.
"Thank you so much for a fabulous visit, wonderful staff and bright, hardworking children! Can't wait to come and visit again" Ruth Galloway - author - Book Week

GREENSTED INFANT SCHOOL & NURSERY IS PROUD TO BE A PART OF THE LEE CHAPEL
Lee Chapel Primary School,
Greensted Infant School & Nursery is now open to Reception and Year 1 children, alongside the Key worker and vulnerable children. We have now also invited our Year 2 children back for some transition work with the Junior School in July - see Year 2 letter below.
Families from our four year groups have all been contacted and the letters can be viewed below:
The School will continue to be open full time to certain groups of vulnerable children and the children of key workers.
If your child has Special Educational Needs and you would like any help or advice about how to support them during this time, please email Mrs Lee on email@example.com.
Please find below a letter listing many websites which can be accessed from home which will enable your child to continue with their learning. There is also a timetable to help you plan their working day.
Please see your child's year group Homework page for weekly homework.
Thank you so much to all parents and children who took part in our February Read-A-Thon - to date we have raised over £2200, which is just amazing! We have ordered the prizes and will give them out in Assembly when we return to school.
